Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Brothers Grimm Special Edition Ballpoint Pen

"Once upon a time..." The Montblanc 2022 Writers Edition range pays homage to Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm more better known as Brothers Grimm. Celebrating their work on German and European folk tales these beautifully crafted writing instruments take inspiration from the world of traditional story telling. Complete with symbolic motifs of both fire and wood.

The barrel of this pen is the main centrepiece. The black high-quality, precious resin resembles the darkness of the woods. A setting that often served as the main stage in many of the Brothers Grimm stories such as "Snow White" and "Sleeping Beauty". The wave like pattern that is featured on the barrel is not only inspired by Rapunzel's hair, but also roots. The symbolism of roots being inspired by the way the Brothers Grimm viewed their linguistic work as being "research into roots". The pens silhouette is further designed replicate the look of an old walking or hiking stick, paying tribute to the wandering story tellers.

The twist-style cap of this pen also features the same black precious resin as the barrel. However, the black cap is further complimented through the use of a platinum coated clip which is expertly shaped to resemble a knobbly piece of wood. Which when turned reveals the silhouette of the profiles of the Brothers Grimm.
